Artist's inspiration:

"The day before I painted this I was listening to a wonderful story about imaginary friends in Ireland in the 1950s. As adults, we sometimes forget that we had Pixar-worthy imaginations as children. If friends didn't live close to play dress up or shop, imaginary friends were always there, whole worlds of make-believe in gardens.

Abstract art gives us permission to think like a child again, to conjure up stories and whole alternative worlds of possibilities, bringing us away from reality, even just briefly. We get to use our imagination again, relaxing the left side of the brain and perhaps building new creative pathways.

Ideal in a warm or cool-toned room due to its variety of tones and metallic hues, fabulous to place in an entrance hallway for a warm welcome.
