Artist's inspiration:

"This artwork was fun to create, I first lay the canvas under a cherry tree and used the shadows to create the initial line drawings. The colours are pure 80s and fabulous. Named after a childhood memory of Little Gem biscuits, which I didn't discover until I was older than most. Coming from a home where everything was homemade, I always swapped my biscuits with classmates at breaktime for store-bought treats. 

When I saw Iced Gems I couldn't believe such cute, little colourful biscuits were actually edible. The simple joys of childhood are revisited in this painting. This is a lighthearted, colourful painting, its pair is 'Mikado' as you will see from the similar colour palette and fun feel."

Ideal in a cool-toned room featuring greys or whites, this original artwork will carry a wall on it's own, part of a gallery wall or teamed with 'Mikado'
