Irish Artist Natalie Forrester
Natalie Forrester is an Irish abstract artist, she brings her flamboyant use of colour and raw tactile qualities to artwork enjoyed by art collectors worldwide.
Deeply rooted in colour psychology, each artwork has a conscious colour combination with the intent to draw into human emotions, from exciting to calming.
Her original artworks are abstract expressionist acrylic paintings, in which she transforms her energy onto the canvas, expressed through conscious colour combinations and flowing movement.
She paints on imported Italian canvas that is hand stretched over custom made wooden frames* by her husband, László.
*sustainably sourced wood
Born in Dublin, Ireland, she was a keen art student at The King's Hospital School, before she attended National College of Art and Design graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Design specialising in printed textile design.
She worked for over a decade in the design world including fashion in New York, branding in Qatar and graphic design in Dublin before turning to art full time.
She lives in Sóstohegy, Nyíregyháza, Hungary with her husband, László and their 3 year old son, Wolfie.
Growing up outside Dublin in the 80s, her Mum, Dorothy, had a Gift Shop in neighbouring county Meath.
Natalie would spend hours after school peering over the counter, watching customers leave the shop full of smiles, delighted and relieved to have found an unique gift.
This gave Natalie the idea to print her artwork on small homewares and accessories, items ideal as gifts, under the brand name 'nat.'
Sustainability is a strong core value for Natalie, to ensure this, all her gift products are:
printed one-at-a-time to avoid over production
digitally print, ensuring zero waste water is produced
printed using vegan inks
made as close to the customer as possible*
*if you live in Europe your gift will be printed in Europe, if you live in the U.S.A your gift will be created in Northern America (when possible), read more about Sustainability here
